MEET YOUR HOST:
This pop-up will be hosted by Jana: I'm a mother with 2 girls (12 and 9 years old). I love nature, being outside, and sports. I work online part-time so we can travel a lot. We love the Alps and we spend more than 6 months each year in the South Tyrol. This area is fantastic for winter sports with over 300 sunny days per year! I would like to invite you for skiing, sledding, and ice skating on the lake. There are beautiful forests too, with outdoor archery and many winter activities and fun.
LODGING & NEIGHBORHOODS:
Val Venosta is a wonderful region full of forests, sunshine, good food, and many activities to enjoy. St. Valentin auf der Haide or Reschen are the best places to stay. Many activities are within walking distance, including skiing, skating, archery parkour, and more.
The ski resort has modern lift facilities, 110 kms of perfectly groomed slopes, and snow guaranteed until Easter at an altitude of 1500 to 2900 metres above sea level. It offers a wide array of options to families, snowboarders, cross-country and downhill skiers, etc. At nearby Resia Lake with its Romanesque church tower, there are great opportunities for ice skating, kiting, and ice sailing.
If you want to enjoy your holidays with your RV or caravan even in winter, this is the place for you. The winter camping has everything you need to have a great time here - Camping zum See.
The host lives in Mals; there are plenty of possibilities to stay in there including the Bio Hotel Panorama, which is next to the host's place. If you want to avoid going by car for skiing, we recommend to stay in St. Valentin auf der Haide, Reschen, or Nauders. You'll find many options for hotels, apartments, or camping facilities.
TRANSPORT CONSIDERATIONS:
With a car, there is no need to avoid any areas; without a car one has to be aware of the availability of public transport options (bus) and it's best to stay in St. Valentin auf der Haide, Reschen, or Nauders.
