MEET YOUR HOST:
Your hosts are Sara, Michael, Mike (11) and Josephine (7). Our family is on a slow traveling gap year journey to see if we can make worldschooling our new normal. Sara and Michael have always had a passion for experiencing new places and have been to over 40 countries and lived overseas for six years on two different continents. Seoul will always hold a special place in our hearts because our daughter was born there while living there from 2015 to 2018. We look forward to sharing some of our favorite places in this amazing historical and modern city. Our family will be in Seoul for 8 weeks from mid-August to mid-October.
LODGING & NEIGHBORHOODS & TRANSPORT:
Many of our activities will take place near the Myeong-dong and Insa-dong Neighborhoods, so if you like to be central, these are great areas to stay. Insa-dong has more of a local feel. However, Seoul is a safe city as long as you use common sense, there really are no bad neighborhoods. Public transport is easy to navigate, we recommend staying near a subway station. The host family will stay near Myeongdong Subway Station.
