Come join us in Rapid City, South Dakota for a fun-filled and community-centered worldschooling gathering October 3 - 9, 2024.

The Worldschool Pop-Up Hub provides super casual, budget-friendly opportunities to gather, connect with other worldschoolers, learn about the local area, instill new friendships, share your insights, and immerse in a friendly, accepting mobile community. Our activities highlight local nature, history, food, and culture... but you'll also have plenty of time to relax, get to know each other, and even stray from the itinerary to add activities that cater to the group's interests.

Pop in for a few days or the full week. Join as many activities as you'd like. It's up to you!

Our itinerary will include activities such as the following:

*Minuteman Missile

*Jewel Cave

*Custer State Park

*Museum of Geology

*Badlands National Park

*Pawnseum

*Dinosaur Museum

*First Nations Sculpture Garden

*Dinosaur Park

Add-on options include the Mammoth Site, Hot Springs South Dakota, Deadwood, Crazy Horse Memorial, or Wind Cave National Park!

MEET YOUR HOST:

Hi, I'm Mimi. We're a homeschool family with 8 children from South Dakota, most of them young adults. If you have any young adults in your family, please invite them too. This is our first time being part of the worldschooling community. We want to visit as many of the national parks in the area since our family has not been to all of them in that area. We would love to meet other worldschoolers to explore and learn with you!

LODGING & NEIGHBORHOODS & TRANSPORT:

Rapid City is the largest city in this geographical region and central for our activities. It has the biggest downtown in comparison to nearby cities and provides the best options of hotels and other rentals as well as grocery stores. 

The host family will be staying in Lead which is about an hour from Rapid City.

Public transportation isn't available.  It is necessary to have your own vehicle for the Rapid City Pop-Up as we will visit many sites, all within an hour of Rapid City. Please expect multiple day trips during this event.
