Come join us in Abu Dhabi and the Al Ain Oasis for a fun-filled and community-centered worldschooling gathering January 28 - February 3 2025.

The Worldschool Pop-Up Hub provides super casual, budget-friendly opportunities to gather, connect with other worldschoolers, learn about the local area, instill new friendships, share your insights, and immerse in a friendly, accepting mobile community. Our activities highlight local nature, history, food, and culture... but you'll also have plenty of time to relax, get to know each other, and even stray from the itinerary to add activities that cater to the group's interests.

Pop in for a few days or the full week. Join as many activities as you'd like. It's up to you!

Our itinerary will include activities such as the following:

*Qasr Al Watan Palace a modern fairytale palace built for the Sheikh 

*Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque as a cultural hub to understand contemporary Islam 

*The Al Ain Oasis, a green paradise full of dates and fruits located in the harsh desert, a UNESCO world heritage site

*A beach day on the Persian Gulf

*Zayed Desert Festival for music, dance, and camel races

*Visit the perfectly curated Louvre Art Museum

*Qsar al Hosn Culture Museum and Park to see a piece of ancient Abu Dhabi 

*Al Ain Zoo and Desert Learning Center to understand the people and animals of the desert and Empty Quarter

Add-on options include an amusement park day, dune trip (a long day drive) or a fancy water park.

MEET YOUR HOST:

Hi, I'm Bevin. We have been wandering the world since the kids were babies, and Alexander (14) and Cassia (11) love traveling as much as their mama. We learn as we wander and are always interested in unique & authentic cultural experiences. We have traveled to more than 75 countries since the kids were born, and we are always excited about finding new places we love, as well as returning to favorites.

LODGING & NEIGHBORHOODS & TRANSPORT:

Abu Dhabi is a relatively compact city. We will have time when we are in the northwest near the coast and other times we are more internal in Yas Island area. You'll find accommodations in any area, staying central between the two may be more affordable but there are less restaurants and facilities. You may want to locate near a large mall (there are many) for dining and gathering. It's an extremely safe city. Some areas just don't have anything within walking distance but this generally isn't a problem, especially if you choose to rent a car.

The host family is currently evaluating accommodation options and will settle on a rental 6 months before the pop-up. We will provide updates as we have them and can coordinate with other attendees. 

Abu Dhabi has little public transportation. The host family tends to rent a car when exploring the city as parking is abundant and free and driving is easy and calm, but rideshare services are readily available.
